Come and join Adam Minter, columnist for Bloomberg View, who’ll unveil the secret back-story of globalization over the last thirty years: the globalized recycling business. Adam will give an insider’s account of the hidden world of this multi-billion dollar waste business that goes from the U.S to China and points in between. Adam’s talk will include never-before-seen video and images from his reporting of his first book Junkyard Planet: Travels in the Billion-Dollar Trash Trade.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Adam Minter is the Shanghai correspondent for Bloomberg World View. He started reporting from China in 2002 with a series of investigative stories on China’s recycling industries. Adam, who belongs to a family of scrap dealers in the US, has been regularly interviewed about recycling issues by international media outlets and is a regular speaker on the recycling and waste industries. His first book, Junkyard Planet: Travels in the Billion-dollar trash trade will be released in November 2013.
