In his documentary on tree planting, Mika Koskinen wanted to explore whether authoritarian China, with its new environmental policies, could actually set a green example for the world. But the Finnish cameraman’s attempt to make the film turned into a nightmare in Guangxi province, when local officials confronted him, determined to protect the reputation of a global forestry giant.
The screening is followed by a Q&A with the director.
